9.28.26 Linocut Portraits: Expressive Printmaking September 28 @ 5pm-8pm
Linocut & Printmaking
September 28 @ 5pm - 8pm
$72 + 3.5% stripe processing fee
Explore the art of portraiture through the bold and graphic process of linocut printmaking. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to simplify facial features, translate light and shadow into carved lines, and create a portrait that captures personality through shape, contrast, and mark making.
We’ll focus on composition, carving techniques, and the unique challenges of working in reverse while developing an understanding of how small design choices can create a powerful image. Whether inspired by a self portrait, a loved one, or a chosen subject, students will explore how to bring character and expression into a handmade print.
All materials are provided. No experience is necessary, and artists of all skill levels are welcome.
