A four-day intensive focused on developing your personal story through painting.
This workshop is an invitation to explore what lives beneath the surface. Memories, relationships, and moments that linger. The things that are often difficult to say directly, but can be translated through image, color, and gesture. Painting becomes a way of returning to your story with attention and care.
You will develop one personal painting over the four days, allowing it to unfold gradually rather than rushing toward a fixed outcome.
On day one, we begin by building and preparing a quality canvas, setting the physical foundation for your work. From there, we move into reflection and conversation to help you identify the story or moment you want to explore.
Over the following days, you’ll develop your composition through drawing and painting, allowing the image to shift and deepen as you work. There is space for uncertainty, discovery, and change along the way. The focus is on staying with the process and responding honestly as it unfolds.
We close on the final day with reflection and sharing, stepping back to see what has emerged over the week.
Daily critiques are included for support and dialogue, and participants are welcome to stay after class to continue working.
Materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring any preferred supplies.
