Create a one-of-a-kind garden companion in this extended hand-building workshop. Inspired by timeless stone garden sculptures, you’ll sculpt your own figurine from clay, whether it’s a rabbit, woodland creature, whimsical character, or something entirely from your imagination.
You’ll learn techniques for building stable forms, adding expressive details, and creating texture that gives your piece character. This is a relaxed, creative workshop with plenty of instructor guidance along the way. Because everyone works at a different pace, some participants may finish earlier while others may use the full workshop time.
After class, your figurine will be dried, kiln fired, and finished by the instructor in a beautiful stone-look glaze, giving it the weathered appearance of a classic garden sculpture. Once complete, your piece will be ready to bring a little personality to a garden bed, porch, greenhouse, or favorite shelf.
Some clay experience recommended. All materials, firing, and glazing are included. Glazed by instructor.
